  • Birding Itineraries

    If someone whistles at you, it is more likely to be the Malabar Whistling Thrush rather than a schoolboy playing truant. The campus of Jungle Hut and its surrounding areas are prime bird habitat all year round.

  • Recreation

    Take a dip in our pool which lies at the foothills of the Nilgiri mountains or lounge on the deck while you get a massage. If you want to be more active, join our guests for a round of table tennis, football, carom or even volleyball and cricket.

  • Kids Activity

    Jungle Hut is very child-friendly. Children are welcome to run around and play on our natural lawns or join the treasure hunts, art classes and wildlife quizzes, besides enjoying some great board games.

  • Explore Nilgiris

    The Nilgiri hills have some of India’s best tea plantations. We would be happy to organise a half/full-day visit to a nearby tea estate where you can witness the journey of tea from plucked leaf to specialty brew. Interestingly, pepper and coffee are also grown in these areas.

  • Jungle Walks

    This deciduous forest boasts a wealth of flora and fauna for the avid nature lover. One could trek thorough open meadows along babbling brooks, rivers and watering holes.

  • Jungle Safari

    Mudumalai and Bandipur Tiger Reserve organize van safaris into unspoiled core areas, the rides usually last anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour with every likelihood of spotting a variety of wildlife like tigers, leopards, sloth bears, elephants, bison, dholes and a variety of birds.

  • Elephant Camp

    Visit our forest department elephant camp where around 30 pachyderms are well cared for and trained. You can witness them get a thorough cleaning before enjoying a healthy meal. Believe it or not, each Jumbo has its own special diet.

  • Awesome Place! Truly in the midst of nature!

    I stayed at Jungle Hut Resort in February with my daughter, and again in March by myself, for 4 days each time, and highly recommend it, especially if you love nature! The whole staff was excellent, the office staff was always helpful, the resort was clean, the food was delicious, the restaurant staff were always ready to assist, and the guards ensured safe walking in the dark. Rajesh, the resort's nature guide, is fantastic! I also arranged a driver, to and from Bangalore both times, through the resort, and he was perfect.
